is delighted to announce that Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), the trusted worldwide insurance professional body of the United Kingdom, has elected our Chief Executive Officer Mr Mohammad Khaled Mamun as a Fellow of the CII, effective from 01 July 2020.
Mr. Mamun is the 1st Bangladeshi to achieve this highest British professional insurance qualification through the Bangladesh Insurance Academy. Back in 2006 he did his associateship (ACII) with 03 distinction from the same institute in London.
We, Reliance Family, hope that Mr. Mamun FCII (UK), will contribute more to the advancement of the insurance sector of Bangladesh in the days to come.
Let’s have a look at the professional profile of Mr. Mamun :
Mr. Khaled Mamun, FCII is the Chief Executive Officer of Reliance Insurance Limited since 2014. Prior to this, he served as Executive Director, Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of the company.
As an insurance professional, Mr. Mamun has more than 11 years long proven track record of reinsurance services at Sadharan Bima Corporation (SBC), the only govt. owned reinsurer in Bangladesh.
Mr. Mamun received Advanced Non-Life Insurance & Reinsurance Course from Swiss Insurance Training Centre (SITC) of Swiss Re, Zurich, Switzerland., He did Comprehensive Course on Reinsurance Management from Asian Reinsurance Corporation, Bangkok.
He is a member of ‘Central Rating Committee’ of Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority, the regulator.
Mr. Mamun was a member of ‘National Insurance Syllabus Committee’ formed by directive of National Parliament.
Academically he has two Masters Degrees from the University of Dhaka, and also obtained Diploma in Development Planning from National Academy for Planning and Development, a body under Ministry of Planning.
By profession, Mr. Mamun is a ‘Chartered Insurer’ and Associate Member of Bangladesh Insurance Academy, Dhaka and Fellow member of Chartered Insurance Institute, London.
